Although this site primarily focuses on my family's history, I'm including a link to the story of Ralph Israel Charak, one of the thirty or so Sokal Jews who managed to stay alive throughout the war. He survived the liquidation of the ghetto and escaped into the forests where he hid until the end of the war.

Here is his extraordinary story, as told by his grand-daughter Sarah in a Year 10 school Heritage Project.
